My March Bujo Flipthrough Video

April is about to end and I realized I haven’t shared my March Bullet Journal Set-up yet. So here it is, my one -minute flipthrough video for March!

My theme for March is “Memories”. Sort of vintage-theme again and the aesthetic still revolves on color brown and green. Here are the highlight spreads for the month.

Wow, it’s already been three months since I started this bullet journaling hobby. And I have no plans of of stopping this. Bullet journaling somehow lessened the stress of me being naturally scatterbrain. For the month of April, I actually made a step-by-step video on my set-up. I have no issues with the shooting. But the editing is taking time. Ahh it’s not easy. But I hope before this month ends,I would be able to publish it.

Follow my bujo journey in instagram and youtube. Feel free to comment that you came here so I will follow you back. I would love to connect with you.

Or you can take my invitation to be one of my my International Blogger Friend. The basic idea is to have at least one blogger friend in each country. In the Philippines where I live, I also have a separate directory called one friend in each PH Region. For more details, just go to this link. I hope you accept my invitation!

My February "Potty-Plant" Themed Bujo Set-up

My Bujo Flipthrough! Please follow me!

I started bullet journaling this year to lessen my bad habit of killing time through social media. Now this hobby and as well as writing my thoughts have been my refuge from this stay-at-home lifestyle. Join me as I flipthrough my February 2020 bullet journal entries.

Part 1: The Cover Page. To set the mood and theme of this month.

Part 2: My Habit Tracker. This looks like a beanstalk actually. I only decided to track 5 habits here. But they are hard to acquire habits. I draw leaves on the corresponding branch if I executed that particular habit.

Part 3:My Blog Plan Tracker. This is where I write my blog topic ideas. I don’t have problems with ideas. It’s the execution that is hard as always haha.

Part 4: Weekly Spreads!

FIRST WEEK. For the first week of February, I suddenly had this idea of combining a mood tracker and my daily thoughts in a comic strip format. Each leaves will have an expression depending on my overall disposition that day. With the comic balloon, it will narrate my thoughts. I also keep tracked of my estimate spending for each day.

For a closer look when the spread is not yet filled-up. So last Feb 3, I was hopeful that NCOV will be over soon because I heard that HIV treatment worked well in a patient. I was also hopeful that time that our March-April trip to South Korea will push through. But writing it now during a lockdown, it made me sad because obviously, it did not end so soon as I hoped it would be. And our South Korean trip was also cancelled. ***Sigh***

SECOND WEEK. I continued this concept on the second week. But the it’s the potty-plants with faces this time. I also continued to track the estimate spending for each day. The goals for this week is still in the same corner.

THIRD WEEK: I didn’t have time to do the same style so I just pasted stickers here and there then write whatever. It did not adhere much with Potty Plant theme. But I made sure the color will still be mostly brown. These stickers are vintage outfit stickers.

FOURTH WEEK: By this time, I already received my Paperang 2.0 that is why there are now images of each day of the week here in the fourth week. The images are captured and printed directly from mobile phone. I will blog my experience with Paperang soon.

Part 5: My Sunday Spreads. I decided to write a full-page Sunday journal each week. Also I set this as my evaluation day the things I achieved that week and my points to improve for the following week.

Part 6: Payday Tracker. I started this last month. This aim to track how I divide my payday earnings.

Part 8: Filler spreads. These are my first prints in Paperang 2.0.

Just random full page calligraphy when I feel it,

Part 9: Monthly Evaluation. The part where I review my goals and if they are achieved at the end of the month. I also reflect on my habits ,pain points and improvements that I should carry over the next month.

That ends my February set-up! Introducing my March 2020 Cover Page as the ending. My theme next month is “Throwback Memories”.

Before I end this post, I also invite you to follow my youtube channel. I will post more bujo stuff soon.

Or maybe you’re interested to be my International Blogger Friend. Watercolor Floral Workshop by @jhaamsey (A Review)

Last year, I dive in to the whimsical world of watercolor ( well aside from other worlds I dive into like photography and dancing lol) but found myself in a rust lately. I haven’t hold a single brush. So to re-ignite my fire for watercolors, I purposely search and signed up for a watercolor workshop specifically florals since this is a good background for calligraphy.

I actually tried watching youtube and instagram videos before in drawing florals. Not like it was a disaster but it lacked finesse. Here is my so-so attempt.

So in my searching, I found @jhaamsey  upcoming workshop in instagram. It was worth P1800 inclusive of the painting materials, workbook and food. For me that was a pretty good deal. It was held on February 10, 2018 at Craft Coffee Revolution, Greenhills.

This is it! I arrived minutes earlier than the schedule which is pretty unusual for someone like me who has lazy ass during Saturdays. Craft Revolution Cafe’ is cozy. It is a mall cafe’ but I love the atmosphere. The woody interior makes it more elegant.

You know, what I love about attending workshops? Not only I got a personal guidance to learn a skill but I got to meet new people who share the same interest with me. We came from different background and different generations. Two of us even came from Indonesia. So we Filipinos tried to speak in English all the time so they won’t feel left out. I added them on Instagram immediately. I used to be introvert but I don’t know what happened to me lately and socializing became my thing.

The first part of the workshop is about the basic drills  and technique of watercolor in general. Here is my output for the drills.

All that information in one sitting made me viciously hungry. So good thing that after the drill was meryenda break. This is inclusive of the workshop fee so I don’t expect much with the food. I expect that it would not be enough for my appetite. But I have to say I truly enjoyed the food in terms of serving and taste. These  pictures did not do justice.

Processed with VSCO with c1 presetProcessed with VSCO with c1 presetI super love the grilled cheese sandwich and the nachos. Totally recommended. It inspired me to make my own sandwich this week. However, the hot chocolate was not hot anymore when it was served to me. I almost asked the staff to at least heat it in the microwave. The serving was also too small compared to the coffee which my classmates chose. But overall, the sandwich and chips are bomb! I wanna try their other sandwiches.

So here are the rest of the photos of the workshop.  In general, I truly enjoyed the whole workshop and I learned a lot. @jhaamseywrites  truly did not only teach the principle but she roamed a lot and made sure she got one-on-one guidance for each one of us.

This is me working on my final output after all the basic drills. I am still not good in it and my classmates’ works are lot more excellent.  But I must say I improved a lot compared with my own previous attempts. My roses finally looked like a rose. And that is more important! Haha!

It’s done! I got a lot of mishaps and this was not perfect but still an improvement.

Some group photos. I want to give another special thanks to @jhaamseywrites for sharing these photos from the official photographer who uses Fuji Camera too. Danica uses Fuji-XA2. I can’t help but notice haha!

Overall, I love this workshop because of these things;

  1. The kit is superb. I got a lot of surprises when I dig the the kit like the black notebook, washi tape and craft yarn. I also love the workbook.
  2. The flow of the workshop is clear and concise. It is easy to take the information. I totally recommend this to beginners. If you are interested, here are her social media accounts.

3. The venue has nice atmosphere.

4. The food oh the food! I’m craving for that grilled cheese sandwich and chips.            Where will Craft Coffee Revolution  have another branch in BGC?

The only thing I HATE about this workshop is I did not won the raffle. I really want that Papelito calligraphy workbook but that’s my problem. Haha!

That’s it for the Day 11 of my 30-Day Blogging Marathon. Oh yes, I was actually absent for 7 days because I was emotionally down and I could not squeezed anything from my brain. But here I am, rose from the ashes, to finish the rest of the days. See you tomorrow!
